How to install and uninstall the Merak Media Player?
Just unzip the package and run the program, no install process. And for uninstall, you only have to delete the program or the folder. But do not forget to save your lyrics files first.

How to toggle the main menu?
Right click on the main window or the icon in the windowshade mode.

How to set hotkeys for general actions?
Toggle the main menu and go to Hotkey. Select one function, click the Hotkey blank, press the functional keys you want to set, then click the SET button. If you click the button CANCEL, the hotkey you set will be canceled. If you click the button RESET, all hotkey will go back to default and those customized ones will be canceled 

How to set hotkeys to play my media files?
Open the File Manage window. Selct one file, click the Hotkey blank, press the functional keys you want to set, then click the SET button. If you click the button CANCEL, the hotkey you set will be canceled. 

I only can play *.mp3 and *.cda files. WHY?
Because you have only downloaded the main program. In order to play other types of media files such as *.avi, *.wmp, and *.rm, you have to down the plug-ins.
The Video-Media Plug-in supports *.asf, *.asx, *.wm, *.wmx, *.wmp, *.wma, *.wax, *.wmv, *.avi, *.wav, *.mpeg, *.mpg, *.mpe, *.m1v, *.mp2, *.mpv2, *.mp2v, *.mpa, *.mid, *.midi, *.rmi, *.ivf, *.aif, *.aifc, *.aiff, *.au, *.snd, *.dat files.
The Real-Media Plug-in supports *.ram;*.rm;*.ra files.

How to install plug-ins?

Just unzip the package, run the *.pis file, then the plug-in will be installed automatically.

What is a class?
Media files can be classified, according to different classes, such as genre, album and author.

How to autoclassify my media files?
Open the File Manage window, select one file or files, then click the button CLASSIFY and start.กก

Why can't some media files be autoclassified?
Because these files have not ID3 information. You have to add it first or manually classify them..

Are there any special functions for classes?
In the Class Manage window (right), you can click one and drag it to the other position, so that you can easily change your class arrangements. If you do not want your classes to be changed easily, you can lock them with a password.

What is ID3?
Media file information, including class, file name, file location, lyric location and tags. Once a file is playing, you can easily click the scrolling list in the main window to see its ID3.

How to use the lyrics player?
You need a *.lrc file first, match it to your song, then you can get to the lyric dynamically in the lyrics player. What's more, you can select colors and fonts for your lyric play. Is it wonderful?

How can I get the lyrics?
You can download the *.lrc files from the Internet. We strongly recommend a website: http://www.51lrc.com.

Can I change a *.lrc file so as to make it match better to the song?
Yes. You can use our powerful lyrics editor. You can not only do cut/copy/paste/find/replace actions, but also insert time labels, subsection tags, etc.. And when editing, you also can play the file to see whether it matches really or not.
